Axis 212 Digital PTZ Dome

Axis 212

Product Review

Good: The Axis 212 is an incredible 3 MP camera but doesn’t use it all at once which saves on both bandwidth and storage. Along with the typical high quality progressive scan and now PoE, it also provides a unique wide-angle view, sleek design and no moving parts because it’s all digital.

Bad: Designed for the wall, the mounting options are limited and the plastic housing seems a little cheap.

Bottom Line: The Axis 212 is one of the most unique IP cameras on the market with interesting features that will not only meet certain applications but create applications that you may not have thought possible before, and the best thing about the camear is the price.

MSRP: $659.00

From the Manufacturer:

The AXIS 212 PTZ is no ordinary PTZ. It’s the only PTZ network camera that provides full overview, and instant, one-click pan/tilt/zoom – with maintained sharp image resolution. And it’s all done without moving parts, so there’s no wear and tear. In short, it’s a whole new definition of PTZ.
