Bosch has plans to enhance its security product offering by purchasing Extreme CCTV of Canada. Extreme CCTV has been a pioneer for video surveillance in low-light applications with their infrared technology and also found a strong niche with their license plate cameras. According to Reuters, the acquisition is set for approximately $92 million USD. This may actually be a good fit for both parties as Bosch benefits from Extreme CCTV’s niche brand name and technology while Extreme CCTV will see increased opportunities with Bosch’s global marketing reach.
